Summary of warranty periods for windows and patio doors. Registration and transfer rules apply — see below.

Windows — coverage summary
- Vinyl frame/sash
- Lifetime warranty (white vinyl) against blistering, peeling, flaking, corroding, uneven fading.
- Insulating glass
- 20 years against seal failure (moisture/dust between panes). Broken glass not covered. Minor defects like bubbles/scratches are normal and excluded. Cracked glass or IG failure due to manufacturing defect/thermal shock covered on parts for 1 year only.
- Hardware
- 15 years against defects in materials and workmanship. Voids if tampered with, misused, improperly installed, or corroded.
- Painted/laminate products
- 15 years against peeling, flaking, cracking, major discoloration. Abrasive cleaner damage excluded; corner weld fading and colour touch-up are the homeowner's responsibility.
- Screens
- 10 days only for punctures/tears (parts only, no labour).
Patio doors — coverage summary
- Vinyl frame/sash
- 25 years against blistering, peeling, flaking, corroding.
- Hardware
- 2 years against defects.
- Insulating glass
- 10 years against seal failure.
- Workmanship & mini blinds
- 5 years.
- Exterior paint
- 10 years against peeling, cracking, major discoloration.
- Screens
- 30 days for punctures/tears (parts only, no labour).
Transfer
Warranty is fully transferable at no cost, but requires: product registered within 30 days of purchase, and transfer notification submitted within 30 days of closing.
Registration requirement
Must be registered within 15 days of installation to be valid (online or by mail with dealer name, invoice/work order #, purchase date, installation date).
Key exclusions
- Coastal corrosion, pollutants, extreme thermal/physical stress
- Building settlement damage
- Acts of God (wind, hail, lightning)
- Minor imperfections not affecting function
- Repairs/mods done by non-authorized persons
- Installing product with visible pre-existing defects without notifying GreenWay first
- Window condensation (normal humidity-related)
- Unpaid or non-standing accounts
